Continuing with its mission to "connect the unconnected," Las Vegas-based Central Christian Church recently became the world's first church to launch a Facebook campus, holding live church services six times per week.

The site features interactive church services with live lobby chat, personal chat, tithing, worship and teaching.

With over 250 million members spanning the globe, Facebook continues to grow and become a part of millions of lives with news, fan pages, interactive profiles, chat, applications and more. Now, users can utilize their existing Facebook profiles to attend church services on a platform they use for social networking daily.

Mike Bodine, Executive Pastor of Central Christian Church, led the new campus's development and launch, and will continue on as head pastor for the site.

"It is a great way for us to continue to spread the message of God's radical grace to the world," Bodine said. "We expect thousands of people to use the campus due to the convenience of using an already well-known platform to interact with the church online."

The Church partnered with Plainjoe studios and Facebook to develop the campus after positive response from its year-old online campus. Launched in September, the inaugural service of the Facebook campus saw more than 450 attendees from around the world comprised of a wide variety of demographics.

With four valley campuses and two online campuses, Central Christian has more than 15,000 attendees worldwide. Check the site for service times.
