The Rev. Hezekiah Walker, 2-7 p.m. host on WLIB (1190 AM), filled a corner of Times Square Thursday with a prayer for the people of Haiti.
A prayer vigil was held Thursday in Times Square for the victims and survivors of the devastating earthquake in Haiti.

The event,organized by gospel radio station WLIB, featured ministers from across the tri-state area and beyond including mega church pastor Joel Osteen.
"I know we're not in a perfect world. The scripture talks about there'll be earthquakes, famines and wars and I just think you have to come back to that place of peace where you believe God is in control and that nothing you go through will be too difficult for you to handle," Osteen said.
"The answer is that we don't have the answer. There's some things I think the faith community has to deal with that God knows better than us. But what we do have the answer to is what is our obligation to those that we can help," said Reverend Al Sharpton.
A bishop who traveled from Haiti to attend the vigil says despite the death and destruction, he remains hopeful for the people of his country.
"I believe the Lord will do what he can to bring Haiti back, and we will have a new Haiti through prayer," said Bishop Pierre Dorcilien.
Many Haitians who now live in the New York area say they are extremely grateful for the support being offered up by all Americans, no matter where they live.
"It shows me how God loves the people of Haiti because he drew people here to pray for them. I am just grateful because I have a lot of family there," said one Haitian native.
"It is a wonderful thing that America is standing with the Haitian people," said another Haitian native.
